The Sarasota County Council of Neighborhood Associations will hold a forum for candidates campaigning for the Sarasota County Commission on Monday, June 13.
School Board member Caroline Zucker and Teresa Mast, who are running against each other, will appear, as will Eric Robinson and Cindy Hill, opponents in a race for a second seat.
The Sarasota City Commission voted Monday evening to continue discussion of a 393-unit affordable housing complex proposed by Harvey Vengroff along Fruitville Road.
The plan calls for improving existing parks around the city and positioning the city as an ecotourism destination, with opportunities for paddling, hiking and swimming.
