The League of Women Voters of Sarasota County recently selected Shannon Staub, founding president of the Library Foundation for Sarasota County and chair of the Positive Youth Development Council, as the group's 2017 Woman of the Year. This is the first time the League has given a Woman of the Year award. The award recognizes Staub for her leadership and service to the community.
