A group of Sarasota homeowners last month announced the formation of a new Sarasota solar power co-op, and have scheduled a final followup public event for 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24. The event takes place at Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road, Sarasota. The co-op is sponsored by the League of Women Voters Florida, the Sarasota Classified Teachers Association, the Sierra Club of Manatee-Sarasota, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, the Florida House Institute, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota and FL SUN.
