All Faiths Food Bank has organized a large-scale food distribution in Sarasota County to help residents impacted by Hurricane Ian. The event will take place at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 3-5 p.m. The food bank will distribute food and water on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event is for people who have been affected by the storm, whether due to loss of power or economic impacts of the storm affecting their ability to put food on the table. All who are in need are welcome.

"We want area families struggling in the wake of the storm to know that we are here for them," All Faiths Food Bank CEO Sandra Frank said in a press release. For those who would like to donate to All Faiths' relief efforts, the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation—in partnership with Keith Monda and Veronica Brady, Kathy and Travis Brown, and Bob and Lin Williams—is offering a $100,000 match for all donations made to All Faiths for hurricane relief efforts.
