The Global Business Travel Association is predicting that the United States will lose more than $1.3 billion in travel-related expenditures in 2017 due to "mounting geopolitical uncertainty." The losses will affect hotels, food businesses, the rental car industry and retail companies. The association cited the Trump administration's travel ban, as well as restrictions on traveling with laptops and other electronics, as reasons for the losses.
