Manatee Technical College, 5505 34th St. W., Bradenton, is hosting the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange's first Construction Rodeo from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, May 11. The event is intended to promote careers in construction. Close to 400 high school students from Manatee County and Sarasota County will attend to see hands-on demonstrations in air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and heavy equipment work.
