This week: The LKTB Famous My-Oh Mai Tai at Lido Key Tiki Bar

The drink: Bacardi silver rum, Mount Gay rum, amaretto and lime juice with a Myers rum floater. Rum rum rum. Really, it's a pretty standard take on the Polynesian-inspired classic (albeit with amaretto instead of Curaçao)—packs a wallop, but still plenty refreshing (and not too sweet) for an outdoor setting. And, honestly, the setting is pretty much the point here.

The bar: The historic tiki bar has been in this spot since long before the Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club appeared next door. Now operated by the Ritz, the bar is well maintained and served by an über-professional staff, but it's held onto its relaxed, Old Sarasota style. Park along Benjamin Franklin Drive and take the beach access immediately south of the Beach Club.

Food factor: The usual beachy fare—chips and guac, sandwiches, etc.—but it's done by the Ritz, so there's no need to lower your expectations just because you're eating on the beach.

Other notable potables: All of the rums in just about any combination, including the Category 4 Hurricane, with four rums and a blend of fruit juices, or the Green Flash, with coconut rum, Midori, banana liqueur and pineapple juice.
