"There’s no shortage of beautiful sunsets along Florida’s Gulf Coast, but every once in a while, the shoreline offers a little something extra," writes photographer Damon Powers. On Anna Maria Island, a starfish in the wet sand became the perfect foreground for an evening sunset, with the sun reflecting across the shallow Gulf waters. 

"It’s the kind of simple coastal moment that makes a day on the island worth remembering," Powers says, "and a reminder that some of Florida’s best scenery can be found simply by slowing down and looking along the shoreline."
