The William G. and Marie Selby Foundation spring 2022 grants cycle will open on Dec. 1, 2021, and will on Feb. 1, 2022. The foundation's grant portal will be open during that period for area nonprofit organizations as they begin the application process.

The Selby Foundation board meets in April to review grant applications and award grants; it specializes in supporting local nonprofits with capital grants which support construction, acquisition and/or renovation of facilities, as well as the purchase of equipment or software. Grants requests may also include the costs of related technical services like legal, architectural and engineering. Not-for-profit organizations are required to be primarily located in Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee or Sarasota Counties. Since its establishment in 1955, the Selby Foundation has provided more than $120 million to the community.
