The Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County recently named Jonathan Evans its new executive director. Evans, who moved to Sarasota from London, brings 11 years of experience working in the British government as a civil servant. Founded in 2010, the Healthy Teens Coalition is dedicated to equipping local youth with the tools, knowledge and skills to make healthy, informed choices about their physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. The organization uses high school students as peer educators to engage other young people, as well as parents, community leaders, and policymakers.
