Citizens who would like to provide input during Sarasota's city commission meetings can now participate remotely via video technology, beginning with next week’s regular meeting. Those interested must pre-register by emailing their request to the City Auditor and Clerk’s office ([email protected]) by 5 p.m. on the Thursday prior to each meeting. Citizens will then receive a link to complete an online registration form, and once they are registered, they will receive further instructions and links from City staff on when and how to access the meeting online and participate.

Anyone who wishes to participate remotely in the next city commission meeting, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, must register via email by 5 p.m. this Thursday, Sept. 3. Citizens can also submit written comments in advance of the meeting by emailing [email protected] or by using an online form. Public input can also be provided in person during the meeting at a computer station set up and monitored by staff at City Hall. Commission meetings can be viewed via live streaming on the city’s website and on Access Sarasota television.
