Overall, retail sales changed little between May and June, but were up last month by 3.2 percent over June 2016.

Retail sales changed little between May and June, but were up by 3.2 percent over June 2016, according to new numbers released last week by the National Retail Federation. Sales in June were driven by online and other non-store sales, according to the federation, with sales in those sectors up 9.9 percent over June 2016's numbers. The market also saw growth in sales of building materials and furniture.
