Venice Regional Hospital Improves Safety Score
In national survey by nonprofit group, Venice facility improves from 'D' to 'C.'
Venice Regional Bayfront Health improved from a 'D' to a 'C' in the latest national patient safety survey conducted by the nonprofit group Leapfrog.
The Venice hospital scored above the national average in several categories, including safety training and having enough qualified nurses. It was also above average in limiting MRSA infections. But the hospital was below average in several categories, including infections after colon surgery and responsiveness from hospital staff.
