Dr. Robert Sambursky, president and CEO of Sarasota's RPS Diagnostics, was recently honored by the Florida High Tech Corridor as one of its 2017 "Faces of Technology." Sambursky was recognized for his contributions to the growth of the local biotech industry. An ophthalmologist by trade, Sambursky invested in a German-based biotechnology company, now known as RPS Diagnostics, and relocated its headquarters to Sarasota. Under his leadership, the company has developed innovative point-of-care diagnostic tests that determine the presence of a virus or bacteria with a small sample of a patient’s bodily fluid.
