Sarasota County is asking for public input into its Unified Development Code, which updates and brings together land development and zoning regulations that control the development of all properties in the unincorporated areas of the county. County staff are working with a consultant, Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., to create the code. The project started in March and will last approximately 18 months. Staff will be reviewing existing documents that pertain to current land development and zoning regulations, with the goal of consolidating language and identifying inconsistencies or potentially obsolete provisions.
