How to Figure Out Where You Are in Line for the Covid-19 Vaccine

Don't know where you are in line for the Covid-19 vaccine? Sarasota County has launched a system to help.

By Allison Forsyth January 29, 2021

On Wednesday, Jan. 27, the Florida Department of Health Sarasota County held a press conference at Sarasota Square Mall, Sarasota's new primary vaccination site, to answer questions about the vaccinations, proof of residency and the new account numbering system so individuals know where they are in line on the county's virtual waiting list for vaccine distribution.

The numbering system was added to each account in Sarasota County on Thursday, Jan. 28, through the Everbridge vaccine registration system. Citizens who have already registered online can view where they are in line by logging into their Everbridge account. Their number in line will show at the top of their login page as "account number." This number will change the closer they get to an appointment date.

"Accounts are in sequential order from the time they are set up," says Sarasota County Emergency Services director Rich Collins. "On our website, we will be putting what account number we are serving up to. So if we put out 1,000 a day, and we're in 3,000 total, we'll be serving up to account number 3,000."

As of Thursday, Jan. 28, the department of health Sarasota County is scheduling vaccinations up to 4,072.

New registrations and their numbers will be available at 11 a.m. the following business day. Appointment notifications are being sent to waiting citizens based on availability of the vaccine.
