Start making your happy hour plans. According to a new order issued Thursday by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, bars in Florida will be allowed to reopen, starting Monday, Sept. 14.

The state had closed down bars in late June after a sharp spike in cases of Covid-19. The new order allows bars to serve people seated indoors up to 50 percent of the building's capacity, similar to the restrictions on dining indoors in restaurants, and allows unlimited outdoor seating as long as social distancing is maintained. In addition to bars, the new rule applies to breweries and other alcohol vendors.
