When you come to vacation in Florida, a tropical alcoholic beverage is never out of reach, but if you are trying to stay sober this summer for health or other reasons, you should still have an equally tasty option. Thankfully, refreshing mocktails are all the rage these days. Here are four tasty options from Siesta Key Oyster Bar bartender Samantha Lemmer. Not only will they taste great; they'll still give you that island getaway feeling.

Strawberry Mint Lemonade

We can agree the mojito is usually the star of the mint-flavored, tropical drink show, especially in Florida. But this refreshing spin on it includes a mixture of fresh lemonade, strawberry pureé, lemon-lime soda and fresh mint—sans rum.

Siesta Sunset

While the alcoholic version is a staple at Siesta Key Oyster Bar and is typically mixed with rum, the mocktail version has all the other key ingredients. The bright yellow drink is a mixture of pineapple juice, lime juice and soda water and is topped with a sweet strawberry pureé.

Ginger Shirley

Reminiscent of a Moscow mule or gin and ginger, this mocktail will make you think you're tasting the real thing and surely keep you wanting more. It's got a mixture of Gosling's Stormy Ginger Beer, lime juice, grenadine and lemon-lime soda.

Summer Zinger

Gone are the college days of mixing flavored vodka with Red Bull. This grown-up tropical version far surpasses that. The bright red and blue "Summer Zinger" gives you a kick with its unique combination of coconut berry Red Cull, cranberry juice and fresh mint on top. It should be enjoyed poolside or while playing an alcohol-free drinking game with friends.

To taste one of the above mocktails, visit Siesta Key Oyster Bar and order from its drink menu. Siesta Key Oyster Bar is located at 5238 Ocean Blvd., Siesta Key, Sarasota. For more info, call (941) 346-5443.
