While we are living in such uncertain times, food provides comfort. For me, I start making pies to share slices and give people a smile, but I also rely on our abundance of wonderful restaurants, bistros, breweries and ice cream shops to get by. Michael's has started a curbside pick-up or delivery service that offers dinner for two or four. In the restaurant, seats have been removed and tables are set at least six feet apart, and gift cards are on sale, as are wines in Michael's Wine Cellar.

Leave it to chef Steve Phelps to give us comfort plus in these times. Phelps is switching up his menu and offering a number of more affordable options. Check the restaurant's social media accounts for daily menus. The fish sandwich is always killer.

The deli is stocked with dinners and salads to go and this is your place for pies on the go. Bring unused gloves to pick up some fresh tomatoes and Florida onions at the farmstand, and be sure to grab some of the best strawberries in Florida. One stop for takeout, produce and pantry.
