Free Class Covers Electric Vehicles, Charging Infrastructure
The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and Sarasota County’s sustainability department are leading a free class on electric vehicles.

The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and Sarasota County’s sustainability department are leading a free class on electric vehicles from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Gulf Gate Library, 7112 Curtiss Ave., Sarasota. The course will cover how various types of electric vehicles work, considerations for those interested in buying one, the charging infrastructure around Sarasota County and the benefits they provide. A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle will be available to view. Register online.
