New College of Florida and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens recently launched a collaboration between their education and research departments with a focus on plant science, conservation and public outreach.
On Friday, Oct. 7, the White House will recognize Kevan Main, a senior scientist at Mote Marine Laboratory, as one of 12 'White House Champions of Change for Sustainable Seafood.'
During April, Mote researchers are using seine nets to catch and release fish throughout the county’s largest canal system, which drains into Phillippi Creek.
