The Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee is presenting an affordable housing Lunch & Learn event with speaker Jaimie Ross, president and CEO of the Florida Housing Coalition.
The discussion will include Sarasota County's Allen Parsons, Jon Thaxton of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, developer Harvey Vengroff and Rob Young of the Sarasota Young Professionals Group.
The Sarasota City Commission voted Monday evening to continue discussion of a 393-unit affordable housing complex proposed by Harvey Vengroff along Fruitville Road.
The City of Sarasota Planning Board will consider a change to its Future Land Use Map in order to make way for 393 affordable apartments on 7.9 acres just north of Fruitville Road near Audubon Place.
