The Leadership Academy of the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee is presenting an affordable housing Lunch & Learn event with speaker Jaimie Ross, president and CEO of the Florida Housing Coalition. In 1991, Ross advocated for passage of the Sadowski Act, providing a dedicated revenue source for affordable housing in Florida. She continues to facilitate funding for Florida’s state and local housing programs. Ross will address her new book, Creating Inclusive Communities in Florida, covering topics such as affordable housing, how it’s developed and why it should be included in the community. The luncheon will be held noon-12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at the Realtor Association's south office, 2320 Cattlemen Road, Sarasota. Association members and the public can attend for $5.
