Housing Affordability Drops

The Housing Opportunity Index recently declined to its lowest point since the third quarter of 2008.

American homes became less affordable in the second quarter of this year, according to the Housing Opportunity Index published by the National Association of Home Builders and Wells Fargo. The Index dropped from 61.6 in the first quarter of 2018 to 57.1 in the second quarter, the Index's lowest rating since the third quarter of 2008.
