The Community Foundation of Sarasota County's biennial Giving Challenge is back for 24 hours today and tomorrow, April 15 and 16, from noon to noon.

The 24-hour online giving event connects about 750 nonprofits with donors and community members to support diverse causes in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties—from housing to animal welfare to arts programming to LGBTQ+ services and more.

Gifts made during the Giving Challenge are unrestricted, which means that the organizations you give to can spend the money responding to evolving community needs as the arise.

Plus, as in years past, The Patterson Foundation is providing a dollar-for-dollar match on all unique donations from $25 to $100, with no limit to the number of donations matched.

During the last Giving Challenge, on April 9 and 10, 2024, donors raised more than $17.2 million for 724 local nonprofits. Since its inception in 2012, the challenge has raised more than $92 million.
