Sarasota Magazine Wins Six Society of Professional Journalism Awards

The magazine was recognized for its writing and design, as well as its digital presence.

The Florida chapter of the Society for Professional Journalism announced the winners of its annual Sunshine State Awards in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, and Sarasota Magazine walked away with six awards:

Best Trend Reporting, Second Place: "The New Healthy"

Best Food & Travel Writing, Second Place: "Nice Slice, Baby!," Cooper Levey-Baker

Best Serious Feature, Third Place: "The Invaders," Isaac Eger

Best Light Feature, Third Place: "The Elephant Polka," Robert Plunket

Best Inside Design, Third Place: "The Invaders," "Night of the Python," "Nice Slice, Baby!," Gigi Ortwein
