Myakka River State Park Purchases All-Terrain Wheelchair to Improve Accessibility
A $2,300 grant from the William G. & Marie Selby Foundation allowed Myakka River State Park to purchase an all-terrain wheelchair and trailer. The equipment will be used to help people who use mobility devices better navigate the park, and will be available free of charge for park visitors.
"The Selby Foundation is pleased to be a partner on this very important project that will increase accessibility for so many to enjoy the beauty and joy of nature," said Selby Foundation president and chief executive officer Carol Butera, according to a press release.
