The Child Protection Center, Inc. (CPC) was selected by the William and Harriet Sturdevant Memorial Charitable Trust to receive a $10,000 grant in support of the Children and Families Supervised Visitation Program (CFSVP), one of CPC’s Child Abuse Intervention programs.

CFSVP was established in 1995 and provides a safe, stress-free, caring environment where a non-custodial parent and their child/children can interact under the watchful eye of a highly trained volunteer. The intent of this program is to foster a healthy relationship with both parents, as research has shown this connection improves the overall wellbeing and stability of the child. More than 50 Sarasota County citizens serve as CFSVP volunteers.
