Safe Children Coalition Inc. recently received a $55,000 donation from Personalized Estate Liquidation Benefiting Youth, Inc. (PEL).  PEL's  donation to Safe Children Coalition's Schoolhouse Link program will support homeless students and youth without a stable place to stay in Sarasota County, helping provide stability while they pursue their education, including funding for uncovered medical care, emergency medication, and supportive counseling. Additionally, the donation will assist homeless students with scholarships for ancillary expenses such as application fees, books, uniforms, computers and other costs as they transition from high school to college or technical training opportunities. Five thousand dollars of the donation is in memory of Larry Hietbrink, a devoted volunteer at PEL who recently passed away from Parkinson's disease.
