Early voting continues in Florida through Sunday, Nov. 1.

Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner is reminding registered voters that early voting for the Nov. 3 general election will end on Sunday, Nov. 1 and is strongly urging voters to take advantage of the opportunity to cast a ballot early, if possible. In Sarasota County, early voting wait times are posted on the elections website; wait times have consistently been less than 30 minutes at most sites.

In Sarasota, nearly 50 percent of all registered voters have cast ballots already, either by mail or early voting. However, that still leaves approximately 170,000 voters to vote.  Turner warns that, because of high voter enthusiasm for this election, a lengthy ballot and the need to implement social distancing and other safety precautions at polling places on Election Day, there may be longer than normal lines on Nov. 3.

Eligible voters may vote early between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. daily, now through Sunday, Nov. 1, at the following early voting locations:

  • Elections office: Terrace Building, 2001 Adams Lane, Sarasota
