Selby Foundation Names New Board Members, Appoints Officers

The foundation supports Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties through capital grants and scholarships.

In June, the Selby Foundation welcomed new and returning members to its board of directors, and appointed new officers. Cathy Layton is continuing to serve as the foundation’s chair. Barbara Zdravecky, who previously served for 24 years as CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, was appointed as vice-chair. Carolyn Johnson, a veteran board member for the Selby Foundation of 12 years (2003-2015), has returned to the board and elected as secretary/treasurer, and Hector Tejeda is joining the Selby Foundation board for the first time. Continuing their duties as board members are Karin Grablin and Keith DuBose.

The Selby Foundation is a private foundation founded by William G. and Marie Selby in 1955. The foundation supports Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties through capital grants and scholarships. Since its establishment, the foundation has provided more than $120 million to the community.
