Job-seekers across the country will be able to benefit from a new effort presented by Indeed, which recently announced the launch of its Virtual Hiring Tour. The tour will make its way across the United States, connecting job seekers and employers through virtual interviews, with the goal of getting 20,000 people hired. Goodwill Industries International, the country’s leading workforce development provider, is a strategic partner in the effort, helping to set up job seekers for success.

Locally, Goodwill Manasota will assist those looking for employment through its free Job Connection service. Career development facilitators will meet with interested candidates to offer counsel on job search and career options, help teach community members how to use technology, conduct practice virtual interviews, and assist in the creation of a resume and an Indeed.com profile. So far, approximately 700 companies nationally have signed on; the tour will “arrive” in the Southeast U.S. from Sept. 29-Oct. 2. Registration is required; job seekers can search “Indeed Hiring Events” on Indeed to find available positions and RSVP to attend at indeed.com/virtualhiringtour.

There are Job Connection offices in Bradenton and Sarasota and help is also available at Goodwill’s Veterans Services Program office. Call (888) 230-8820 to make an appointment for virtual or in-person assistance.
