Williams Parker Expands Litigation Practice

The firm has hired George Parpas as an associate and Tamara Skonie as a paralegal.

Williams Parker has announced that George Parpas has joined the firm as an associate in its litigation practice. Parpas is a civil trial attorney with a focus on probate and trust litigation and business litigation; he has extensive civil litigation experience at both the trial and appellate level. He joins Williams Parker from New York City, where he handled a variety of general liability defense claims, including labor law claims, property damage and property disputes and premises liability defense. He is a graduate of New York Law School and Queens College, City University of New York. He is admitted to practice in Florida, New Jersey and New York.

The firm also recently added Tamara Skonie, ACP, FRP as a litigation paralegal. Skonie is a NALA advanced certified paralegal in land use and a Florida registered paralegal with three decades of experience. She serves on the board of the Florida Alliance of Paralegal Associations and is a member of the Southwest Florida Paralegal Association, the Florida Association of Legal Support Specialists and the Sarasota-Manatee chapter of the Association of Legal Support Specialists. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a paralegal certification from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
