The Child Protection Center, Inc. (CPC) received more than $29,000 in funding and in-kind donations to demolish its storage building in downtown Sarasota, which was deemed hazardous and which was preventing the organization from being able to expand. John Antonucci, division president of Vengroff Williams, Inc. (VWi), was inspired by the nonprofit’s mission of the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse and the impact made on the community;  VWi gave a leading gift of $10,000 and Antonucci secured dumpsters, contacted contractors, finalized the demolition and gave a personal contribution of funds. Other in-kind donations to the demolition were secured from Aqua Plumbing, Veteran Air and Graeber Excavating, the latter of which provided $15,000 in services. The contributions allow for for funds raised by CPC to continue to be used for programming.
