Tervis, the Venice-based manufacturer of insulated drinkware, has made the decision to temporarily close its factory to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. In a statement on the company's website, Tervis president Rogan Donelly said that, after reviewing Gov. Ron DeSantis "safer at home" order, Tervis leadership made the decision to shut down the facility and the company's retail locations through May 1. The Tervis website continues to accept orders.

Donelly added that all of Tervis' full-time employees would continue receive 100 percent of their pay and health benefits.
