Sarasota County officials celebrated the official opening of the new Legacy Trail overpass at Laurel Road in Nokomis on Wednesday. The new overpass, which was built by the Florida Department of Transportation, is 12 feet wide and 90 feet long and provides bikers and pedestrians with a safe way to cross the street.
