New orders for American manufactured goods decreased by $1.4 billion between April and May, a decline of 0.6 percent.

New orders for American manufactured goods decreased by $1.4 billion between April and May, a decline of 0.6 percent, according to new U.S. Census Bureau statistics released Wednesday. The decline follows a 1 percent decline between March and April. Orders had increased between January and March. Total orders in May added up to $248.8 billion.
