The Manatee Chamber of Commerce recently received a Leading Light award from the Sunshine State School Public Relations Association for the chamber's commitment to public education over the last two decades. The chamber was recognized for creating a positive environment of change in four educational areas: student achievement, connecting the community to schools, education advocacy and career and technical education.
