Airbnb hosts in Sarasota County almost doubled their overall earnings between 2016 and 2017, according to year-end numbers released by the company this week. More than 67,000 guests stayed in Airbnb lodgings in Sarasota County in 2017, generating $13.3 million in revenue, up from $6.7 million in 2016. Sarasota County ranked as the 10th most popular Florida county for Airbnb guests. Overall, Florida hosts earned $450 million through Airbnb in 2017.
