Consumer confidence among Floridians dropped slightly between August and September, according to new survey results.

Consumer confidence among Floridians dropped slightly between August and September, according to new survey results published by the University of Florida’s Bureau of Economic and Business Research. The bureau's consumer sentiment index decreased from 96.1 in August to 95.5 in September. Expectations of one's personal finances a year from now showed the biggest drop: That rating declined by 4.4 points, from 104.8 to 100.4. Anticipated U.S. economic conditions over the next year also decreased, by 2.6 points, from 95.8 to 93.2. The results are based on the responses of 470 individuals who were reached on cell phones.
