College Hosts Climate Change Workshop
State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota is hosting an interactive workshop on climate change and sustainability from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 21, at the college's Venice campus, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice. The free workshop is open to the public as well as students, faculty and administrators. William Keller and volunteers from the local chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby will present the workshop. A short video will be shown at the beginning of the session and then participants will break into three groups to brainstorm solutions to the problem using federal government processes, economic processes and psychology to motivate change.
