Florida Tourism Hits New High
Florida set a new record for tourist visitation in 2016, according to new numbers announced by Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Thursday.

Florida set a new record for tourist visitation in 2016, according to new numbers announced by Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Thursday. Roughly 112.8 million visitors came to Florida last year, a 5.9 percent increase over 2015's then-record total of 106.6 million. The 2016 numbers represent the sixth consecutive record year for Florida visitation. The number of tourism-related jobs also hit a record high, with 1.4 million, according to Scott.
