Tracy Fanara of Mote Marine Laboratory will compete to host a popular science and engineering TV show during Mythbusters: The Search, which starts at 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, on the Science Channel. The original Mythbusters aired from 2003 to March 2016. In The Search, Fanara will be one of 10 contestants competing to become the next Mythbusters hosts. During the show, contestants will apply their science, engineering and building skills to solve puzzles. Fanara is an environmental engineer who manages the Environmental Health Program at Mote.
