Our sister publication Sarasota Magazine on Monday announced the release of Gastronaut, a new mobile app created to guide users through the region’s ever-expanding restaurant scene. Available for free download from the App Store and Google Play, Gastronaut offers advice and recommendations based on the diner’s priorities, with categories that include cuisine, atmosphere, price and proximity. The app features a restaurant search tool, along with news and reviews, created both by users and the magazine's writers and editors. The product was developed in collaboration with the Houston company Poetic Systems.
