In May and June, six families closed on new permanent, affordable homes built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Sarasota. The organization made significant adjustments to complete the homes' construction in early March, adapting to social distancing guidelines recommended by federal and state agencies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Construction of the homes was funded by FCCI Insurance Group, Stock Signature Homes, Sarasota Office of Housing and Community Development (utilizing State Housing Initiatives Partnership program funds), Publix Super Markets Charities, the Isermann Family Foundation and the Boscia Family Foundation. Habitat Sarasota is moving forward with plans to serve 21 families during the coming year.
