Is it a coincidence that the Flower Streets were chosen for this year’s Gardens in Paradise tour on Saturday, March 17? Six private gardens in the beautiful West-of-Trail neighborhood, like this one on Datura Street, will be open for self-guided tours for the fifth annual extravaganza. The Sarasota Garden Club, its producer, is hush-hush about the exact locales; it waits until the day before to release addresses on its website, sarasotagardenclub.org. (You can buy tickets there, too.) Tour participants are encouraged to tour the Garden Club’s own 14 gardens on Boulevard of the Arts, too, where lunch can be purchased from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
