The commercial construction company Halfacre Construction Company recently completed renovations to the west jail facility for the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. The company demolished the third floor mechanical room, removed existing air handlers for the complex and installed a new 70-ton air handler unit on the roof of the facility. The project, which cost roughly $799,000, began in March.
