A custom-designed Gulf-front residence in Siesta Key’s historic Sandy Hook neighborhood sold for $4.9 million, making it the highest-priced residential sale in Sarasota County in January. It was originally listed for $7.9 million in late 2013. The four-bedroom, 5,033-square-foot home at 26 S. Sandy Hook Road, built in 2003, has a chef’s kitchen, a 15-foot by 40-foot heated pool and fire pit by the Gulf, hand-painted murals in the dining room and a 10-plus car garage. It previously sold in 2000 for $2.2 million. Ron Stahl of Ron Stahl Realty was the listing agent; David Lehrman of the Sarasota Real Estate Company was the selling agent.
And another big sale on Siesta Key’s Crescent Beach: A one-bedroom Gulf-front home at 648 Beach Road recently sold for $4,481,000. The custom-designed contemporary home has three levels of living space above a four-car garage. It features a rooftop swimming pool with views of the beach, downtown Sarasota and the Gulf of Mexico.
