Are you looking for a new place to get your fitness on? BodyBar Pilates is hosting a grand opening on Wednesday, April 20 at 11:30 a.m. The studio is located at Waterside Place, a developing Lakewood Ranch community that offers restaurants, shopping opportunities and other amenities.

Prior to opening, BodyBar got the hype going by hosting free group fitness classes called Pilates in the Park. Every Sunday, participants gathered in Waterside's eight-acre park with their mats to engage in dynamic exercise with certified Pilates instructors.

BodyBar is a reformer pilates studio, with one-on-one and private group class opportunities, a clothing store and monthly opportunities to join group events.

Pilates is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that increases flexibility, muscle strength and posture. Four types of classes are offered: reformer, classic active stretching class, "power tower" (strength training) and reformer jump (reformer class with jump board for cardio).

Interested? The studio is offering a free class for first-timers, as well as packages of classes, which include discount and rewards opportunities.

And after your class, enjoy a meal at the now open Good Liquid Brewing Company or shop the Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market at Waterside on Sunday mornings.
