A new coffee concept is bringing its caffeine to Downtown Wellen Park. The Winter Park-based coffee chain, Foxtail Coffee, wants to be more than just a place to grab your coffee and go but instead a place for you to sit and rest, read a book or visit with friends.
"We are focused on being a community café that can be engaged and involved in the communities we are in, which is what made Wellen Park such a great fit," says franchise owner Jesse Davis.
The new café will span over 1,600 square feet with indoor and outdoor seating encouraging guests to linger over their beverages. A café bar will overlook the barista's station where patrons can interact with the team and watch their drinks being made while the baristas buzz around behind the counter.
"We want you to experience the show, stay awhile and get to know us and your local baristas," says Davis.
Foxtail Coffee ethically sources its coffee from small organic farms in Ethiopia, Mexico, Colombia, and Honduras. The beans are roasted in the Winter Park warehouse facility before being sent to the shops to make into a gamut of drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, cortados and more.
"We have everything you could possibly think of," says Davis.
And speaking of everything, Foxtail Coffee also has a partnership with Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream, an Orlando-based creamery, and Davis says the affogato (ice cream with espresso drizzled over top) is growing in popularity.
The coffee shop is currently slated to open in late January of 2023 and will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. But, if a late-night coffee tends to keep you up, never fear, Foxtail Coffee will also feature beer and wine. With Wellen Park's resort license, you can take your drink to-go and wander around the development's beautiful outdoor space, although, Davis would prefer you linger in the shop just a little longer.
